Final Blame for the Cold War

Altogether, we put the overall blame/cause for the Cold War goes to America over any other country during the 20th century. First of all, they were the one who created one of the causes for the beginning of the war when they dropped their atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This event would lead the USSR to research and obtain their own nuclear weapons, which would, in turn, spark and lead to an arms race prevalent throughout the entire Cold War between the two countries. The US’s fear of communism would also give them a reason to get involved in many events that took place during the war that they might not have normally participated in, such as the Vietnam War. The US only joined the Vietnam War because they did not want it or the countries around it to fall to communism. In addition to getting involved events, they also caused some of their own during the Cold War. In fact, they indirectly caused the event that is regarded as the height of the Cold War due to their attempt to assassinate their communist leader: the Cuban Missile Crisis.

In this way, they were the cause of starting the whole war and for causing/involving themselves in many of the events that took place during it moreso than any other country or force; this is why we conclude that America is the most responsible for the Cold War.
