1946: Stalin Replies to the “Iron Curtain Speech”
DESCRIPTION: Just hours later after the speech that Churchill gave in the Westminster College, Stalin replies to Churchill. Stalin replies in a calm and collected way and acknowledges Churchill. But he is sort of hostile towards him as well. Stalin was talking about slander towards Churchill and discourtesy, and tactlessness. He thinks of it as absurd that Churchill thinks this way about the USSR.
BLAME: But the boiling point is definitely getting higher as USSR gets angrier. Tensions rise as an angry Stalin after the speech by Churchill gets ridiculed from the depiction of his own USSR. This also gives his own thoughts about the English. The blame here still lies onto Churchill, this is because he angered Stalin from the speech he gave about the Iron Curtain that blankets the Soviet Union.
TENSION INCREASE: Stalin was insulted towards Churchill’s speech and is angered by the way Churchill viewed his USSR. He gets angered but keeps his composure. Britain is at fault here for angering the USSR and USA is not at fault here for the time being. +1
